Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Peter. He was very kind and loving. One day, something very sad happened — his father and mother died. After that, Peter was all alone, except for his pet, Bunty. They were best friends. Peter would always sleep with Bunty beside him.
One night, Peter had a strange dream filled with vegetables! Suddenly, he woke up, but Bunty was still sleeping peacefully. Peter wanted to sleep again, but he couldn’t, because every time he slept, he saw bad and scary dreams. Still, he accidentally fell asleep again.
This time, his dreams were good. He remembered how his parents always used to say, “Pray to God before you sleep.” But Peter never did that. Interestingly, Bunty always prayed in his own way before sleeping. Peter thought of his brother who lived in heaven and remembered the Bible verse — 1 John 2:10 — which says it is good to pray every morning and night.
Every day, Peter would accidentally fall asleep without praying. But one day, on Halloween night, something strange happened — he saw his parents in his dream. They were smiling and said, “Always pray to God before you sleep, and your dreams will be beautiful.” From that day onward, Peter always prayed to God before sleeping.
Peter and Bunty loved to play together in a little pond near their house. They would swim, splash water, and laugh together. Sometimes they would visit Peter’s uncle, aunt, and their two kids. His cousins were very happy to see him. But they did not pray before sleeping, and so they often had scary dreams. Peter told them gently, “When you pray, your dreams will be good and peaceful.”
One night, Peter had another dream. He saw himself strong and brave, walking in a bright place. When he woke up, he felt happy and thankful. Every morning after that, he prayed to God and felt peace in his heart.
But one day, something terrible happened. Peter remembered the twelve bad men who had hurt his father long ago. They were criminals. They tried to attack Peter too, but now he was strong. He prayed for courage and said, “God is with me.” The men tried to kick and punch him, but Peter fought back bravely. Finally, they said, “We are sorry.”
Peter forgave them and said, “Now I understand praying to God gives us strength and peace.”
Moral:
Always pray to God — before you sleep and when you wake up. God gives you strength, courage, and beautiful dreams…
