വയനാട് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഒരു ദുരന്തത്തെ അതിജീവിക്കുകയാണ്‌. ഏവരും ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി സർക്കാരിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിനു കീഴിൽ അണിനിരന്ന് ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്‌.
ഈ സമയത്ത്‌ ദുരന്തമേഖലയിലേക്ക്‌ (മുണ്ടക്കൈ, ചൂരൽമല) അനാവശ്യമായി വാഹനങ്ങളുമായി എത്തുന്നത്‌ ഒഴിവാക്കണം എന്ന് വയനാട് ജില്ലാ കലക്ടര്‍ അഭ്യര്‍ഥിച്ചു . ഇത്‌ ഒരു വിനോദസഞ്ചാര മേഖലയോ സന്ദർശ്ശന മേഖലയോ അല്ല. അനാവശ്യമായി ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്ന ഓരോ വാഹനവും ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയും രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ തടസപ്പെടുത്തും. ഏവരും ഉത്തരവാദിത്തബോധത്തോടെ പെരുമാറുക. അനാവശ്യമായി ദുരന്തമേഖലയിലേക്ക്‌ വരാതിരിക്കുക.
Wayanad is fighting a disaster with all its capacity. We all are engaged in Rescue and Relief operations under the leadership of Government.
Please do not visit the disaster affected areas at Mundakkai and Chooralmala for recreation or fun. Disaster affected area is not a place for tourist visits. Unnecessary vehicles and persons visiting the location are detrimental to the whole efforts of rescue and relief operations. So, please refrain from going to the disaster affected areas unnecessarily.
